With the Super Bowl just around the corner, there's a tiny little football story from another league that is stealing headlines on the Internet. Lingerie Football League (yes it's real) linebacker Melissa Jo Berry — who prances around in her underwear for a living — is suing ex-boyfriend Mark Dawson for posting nude photos of her on MySpace.

Melissa is on top of the Google Trends search report with a rating of "volcanic."

The Tampa Bay Tribune reported a few days ago that Melissa said her ex tried to extort, humiliate and hurt her by showing the photographs to her mother and and posting them on MySpace without her permission.

Mark saw things differently, of course. He told the Tribune that Melissa — who used to be a dancer at Miami strip club Thee Dollhouse — willingly posed for the photos.

This is nothing but an ex-girlfriend trying to cause problems. For her to say that these pictures were taken against her knowledge is untrue because she is smiling in them. She takes her clothes off for a living and tells people I am doing all this other stuff. What she's doing now is creating a drama because there are pictures out there of her."

Melissa says there's no way she took those shots knowing they'd be on the Internet. She told the Tribune:

If I wanted to take my clothes off for a living, that's what I would do. There's not a photographer that has ever taken those sorts of shots of me. It's more of a privacy thing. It's not for everyone else to see."

We're confused. She plays football in her underwear, dances at a strip club and models for a bikini company without the bikini (see below). Is it just us or is there something a little fishy here?

We're not saying she planned the whole thing or that they are cooperating in order to further her career. Oh no, we would never say that.

It's just that there have been plenty of cases of people being, you know, dumb like a fox about these things.

We're just saying.

Looking stylish with her freshly cut hairdo, Lindsay Lohan ventured out to Tracey Ross for a spat of shopping in Beverly Hills on Sunday afternoon (December 28).

Meeting up with her DJ girlfriend Samantha Ronson for the trip to Sunset Plaza, the “Mean Girls” starlet playfully held up black lingerie for her lesbian lover as the two chatted while browsing the store’s offerings.

Upon picking out a few items, the two made their way to the counter - with Samantha holding a big wad of cash, possibly buying a late Christmas present for her lady?

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, Lindsay spent the early hours of the day visiting Andy Lecompte salon for some much-needed beauty time as she gets ready to host a big New Year’s Eve bash at Mansion in Miami later this week.

Lingerie claim failed to reveal all, tax agency says

A former Winnipeg tax preparer was fined more than $13,000 for failing to make "full disclosure" to the Canada Revenue Agency by creating a false loss for a client's lingerie business.

Lucia Au was recently found guilty in Manitoba provincial court of falsifying a federal income tax return, the agency said.

Au, acting as a tax preparer, concocted a scheme to file a fictitious business statement on a client's personal income tax return.

Court heard Au invented the scheme for a Winnipeg lingerie boutique owner who had withdrawn $85,000 from a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) to finance a new product line.

Au fabricated a "Statement of Business Activities" for her client, reporting an $85,000 business loss for the 2000 tax year. This helped the client to avoid paying more than $22,000 in taxes owing on the RRSP withdrawal.

CRA reported the conviction Monday while advising Canadians who have not made full disclosure of their incomes — or who want to voluntarily correct their tax affairs — that it's not too late.

"They will not be penalized or prosecuted if they make a full disclosure before the agency starts any action or investigation against them," the agency said in a news release.

Anyone who hasn't been entirely honest but who confesses as much to the agency will have to pay any taxes owing, it said.
